12 weeks!

When we took the pictures above this morning, he rolled over a few times very easily from belly to back. He usually gets really upset when he's on his stomach but he did well. Maybe it was the lack of clothing. He loves to be free!

Asher has had fun this week with family. Aunt Belinda, Alexa, Ashton, Aunt Ambera, Jacob and Caleb came in for a few days.

He's happier and happier all the time. We have had some sleeping challenges. A few days this week Asher woke up in the middle of the night and didn't want to go back to sleep. By the end of the week, he was sleeping 5-6 hour stretches again though. Naps are a differnt story though. He doesn't like to take them. When he does take a nap, he would like for it to be on Mommy or Daddy.

Lots happened in Week 11

I wrote earlier that Asher held onto an object this week. He also started to "hug" a stuffed animal that he has. He was really holding it with both arms and holding it against him. I guess that's pretty much what a hug is! Here are pictures of him hugging his ladybug named "Lady".

Alissa and I finally finished editing the video footage from Asher's birth. It is very g-rated so don't be afraid to watch! It's so amazing to see how much he has changed in 12 short weeks...

The New Happenings of Week 11

Asher started to grasp objects today. We think it's purposeful because he focuses on the object and brings it to his mouth too. He has a ladybug stuffed animal and he was grabbing it's head and putting it's antennae in his mouth.

He had some rice cereal yesterday too. He ate severeal bites of it. He seemed to enjoy it.

He seems so much bigger and older now. We've been trying to put him to bed awake so that he doesn't get into the habit of always being nursed or rocked to sleep. It's been going okay. Naps on the other hand are a different story! We're lucky if Asher sleeps a few hours in the daytime! He's pretty cranky by the end of the day.

One Last Week 10 Picture

Asher's 1st Vacation

Asher spent the week at the Kentucky Horse Park Campgrounds wit Mommy, Nonnie, Aunt Ambera, Jacob and Caleb. Daddy, Papa and Uncle Dan also came during different times in the week. We had a fun week together. There were only a couple nights when the babies woke each other up in the middle of the night. They did really well!

No, Jake isn't yanking Caleb's arm off! He really wanted his picture taken with his little brother and I told him to make a funny face. His boo boo on his chin came from falling down at the camp's playground.

Asher rolled over for the first time in the camper this week. Nonnie was his witness. He did again two days later and Mommy saw it then. He was upset when he rolled because he doesn't like being on his belly. His frustration probably contributed to his success!

The last of week 9

I've posted alot of pictures from week 9! When Asher and I are home together, I found lots of opportunities to take pictures. He's in a happy, smiley mood a few times (especially in the morning) and that's when I grab the camera.

The play gym continues to be a hit. Asher is often "talkative" when he plays there.

Some 9 week pictures

Asher is happier than ever (for 20 minute periods anyway). He's been smiling more and more and it's been easier to catch these smiles on camera. He especially likes it when Daddy plays with him and talks to him.




Here's Mommy with Asher in the Baby Bjorn. Asher is kind of warming up to his carrier. Hopefully he'll adjust to it more and more. His favorite thing is to be held and to eat. Sometimes Mommy and Daddy just need to be up off the couch!


Here's a shot of Asher trying to turn over to his side. He got pretty close today. He's sitting under his play gym in this picture. Mommy and Daddy got some birthday money for their birthdays and this is what they came home with! Gone are the days of buying things for ourselves, right? He likes the play gym though. So, it really is a gift for Mom and Dad if it keeps Asher occupied (without crying) for a few minutes! He gets very excited when he sees the hanging mirror. He likes to punch and kick the beach ball the most though.
